COUNTDOWN is a band from Boston/NYC featuring C Jones and Chandler Mercer on guitar, Mike Ralston on drums, Hardy Alegria on bass, and Chris Wilson on tha mic.
The goal of this band was to make a representation of all aspects of NYHC that we love in a more accurate/vintage form. Channeling our inner Harley and Mackey we made a demo pulling influences from Bad Brains, Cro Mags, Raw Deal, Leeway, the list goes on. You all know this.
We recorded instrumentals in a practice space in Brooklyn in 2 hours. Most hectic/stressful session ever. From losing bass tracks, to having to re record another song entirely to being extremely time constrained. You can hear the urgency in the recording. Leads were recorded in Connor’s apartment in Boston and vocals were recorded by Chris in New York.
